Herpes Emotions

As with most viral infections, people are more susceptible to succumb to an attack when the immune system is low or compromized.

Emotional stress, undergoing life changes or any event that causes emotional upheaval can contribute to a herpes outbreak.

One emotion known to have an effect on the immune system is anger. Not as in getting very angry in a critical situation, bit long term resentment and irritation. Spending much time feeling angry, harboring resentment towards others have a detrimental effect on the efficacy of your immunse system.

Other emotions effecting our defense for diseases are anxiety, grief, and depression.

Find a program or some ritual to keep stress at bay, maybe taking up youga, chi gong, or meditation.

Get help to resolve stressors from your past. Clear your mind of as much material that can cause negative emotions as you can.

Adequate sleep is essential for a happy disposition. Sleep deprivation effects our emotions and moods to a large degree. When you are tired, nothing is fun, and it is easy to resort to feelings of anger, depression and anxiety.

Happiness strengthens the immune system. Happiness can actually be practiced and learned. Start each morning by thinking about things you appreciate. Spend three to five minutes focusing on anything you appreciate. Use small things such as appreciating your coffee maker, or the fact that when you turn the tap warm water comes out.

This simple exercise, done with mindfulness and intention is an amazing stress buster and sets your mind in a place of wellbeing.

Herpes is very much affected by emotions. Along with a good nurishing diet, some mental hygiene, along with positive emotions can go a long way in reducing the frequency and severity of attacks.

Herpes and emotions are closely related, as most herpes sufferers can attest to.
